lululemon Pants

Inspired by the iconic pant wall in physical stores, lululemon Pants was a 0→1 initiative that reimagined how we showcase the breadth and depth of our pant assortment online.

I led the project in partnership with a digital agency and a cross-functional team, delivering a scalable, multi-page experience that celebrated the full spectrum of our pant lineup.

Lost in the assortment

With over 300 women’s and 200 men’s pant styles on our website, shopping for pants had become an overwhelming experience. Faced with so many options and little clarity on what set them apart, guests often defaulted to buying what they already knew.
Need for inspiration and education

As pants are core to our brand, we saw an opportunity to reimagine the experience to both inspire and educate: to spark curiosity through our breadth of offerings, and to help guests understand the innovation, versatility, and details that make each style unique.




Fruit of collaboration

The final experience was the result of close collaboration across a large team. As the lead designer, I worked alongside our agency partners who kicked off the initial strategy and proof of concept, then guided cross-functional teams—Merchandising, Brand Creative, Engineering, and Research—to bring the vision to life.
Three experience layers

The final experience included three layers:

  • Intro page: Welcomes guests into the experience and allows them to select their gender
  • Overview pages: Dedicated pages for women’s and men’s collections, designed for exploring the full range of pant styles
  • Franchise detail pages: Around 30 pages that educate about the superiority and versatility of each pants franchise

The overview pages let guests navigate and discover pant options through the lens of activities as we learned from research that many guests didn’t realize we make pants for every activity in their life.
Working with the Ecommerce team, we mapped out which franchises best represent each activity and established a tiered strategy that allowed us to spotlight the most iconic ones.

Franchise detail pages




Each franchise page dives deeper into the story behind the pants: their unique design intent, function, and performance. 
The page compares styles and fabric options within the franchise, highlights versatility through outfit inspirations, and features authentic quotes from our ambassadors. 
Together, these elements help guests understand not just what the pants are, but why they’re made that way and how they fit into different moments of life.
